Nobody’s Watching

Commissioned by Superbia, the arts and culture programme at Manchester Pride, Nobody’s Watching invited five solo LGBTQ dancers to devise a new piece of dance each.

Each dancer had a real story to tell in which they had overcome some kind of obstacle in their lives in order to commit to their dance practice.

This was my first solo piece devised for a theatre setting, including curating my own performance music to enhance the narrative.

It was also my first dedicated team experience with other dancers, with the opportunity to receive feedback and learn from one another’s practice, experience, and knowledge.

We also had support from established industry professionals throughout the development process.

The show sold out and was well reviewed.
