PUSH LAB

In 2024 I was a successful applicant to the competitive PUSH LAB project at HOME, Manchester.

PUSH LAB was a five-day laboratory for artists and creatives from a variety of disciplines to come together to play, explore, share and respond to the provocation Invitations for Collaboration.

During the lab we explored multidisciplinary approaches to collective working and sharing ideas and practices across artforms. This opportunity enabled artists to think about what working with creatives from another field might look like and what happens when you bring together artists from different disciplines with a broad range of skills.

During this wonderful networking opportunity I gained connections for potential future collaborations with a musician and an anthropologist.

The labs were a great way to learn to play, let go, and learn the potential to work or create work as a group with no pressure or expectation which I found to be a helpful jumping off point for the progression of my practice and creative process going forward.

It was also a way of seeing that I don’t have to/be able to do every aspect of theatre making myself when I collaborate with other artists to create something better.
